Before I start sharing my Blogapalooza experience, let me tell you first what this event is all about. Blogapalooza is a business to blogger networking event. It’s a community where in small and big businesses present their product/brand to hundreds of influential bloggers and online social media influencers. It was hosted by Vince Golangco (DJ at Mellow 94.7, TV Show host of Tek Tok TV and Publisher of WhenInManila.com), who’s also the one that started this event along with Francis Simisim (CEO of Gang I.T. Ventures Inc., online marketing specialist and blogger on TechFilipino.com) and Anton Diaz (one of the top online personalities in the Philippines and blogger at OurAwesomePlanet.com).
Blogapalooza happened last November 16 at SMX Aura in Taguig. I came at around 2.30 PM, slightly unprepared. I didn’t bring my dslr, thinking that my iPad can work as a replacement. It was a stupid decision, I know. The blogger in me was disappointed. Lol But I’ve already forgiven myself considering the fact that I was down with flu the previous day and wouldn’t have made it to the event if not for the doctor’s advice allowing me to rest and skip work for that day. What a blessing in disguise. Haha
Well anyway, all photos here were taken using my iPad so please pardon the quality. Don’t worry, I already learned my lesson and I swear not to do it again. You can have my Line stuff toy if ever I break this promise. Hahaha! Got this from Megaworld Lifestyle Mall’s booth, where I stayed for quite a long time coz I joined all of their contests. I think I even got one of the staff irritated coz I sat on their couch while I was trying to finish everything. I did ask permission from another staff (I opt not to mention her name) but the former said that the couch was for photo booth purposes only. Teehee. My apologies. 🙂
Here are the photos that I used to join the contest. I put a lot of designs into these two that’s why it took me so long to finish. Haha Effort kung effort! Before this, I went around and visited the other booths. I also listened to the speakers while having my lunch c/o Congo Grill, Karate Kid and Tempura. The seats were all occupied so I had no choice but to eat while standing. Haha The event was super jam-packed! 🙂
Some of the speakers were Monster Radio RX 93.1’s Karen Bordador and Magic 89.9’s Slick Rick, Tony Toni and Sam YG of Boys Night Out.
I love how Karen finished her talk by sharing to us her motto/mantra in life–that is to continue improving yourself each day. She said that she always make sure she was able to do new things every year. I was inspired coz I was really planning and working hard to do the same thing. Can’t wait for 2014!
I also bumped into fellow blogger, Shekinah, who I first met at the Wacoal Perfect Fit Party. We weren’t able to talk much coz I had to leave early so it’s a good thing that she’ll be at the Food Meets Fashion Bazaar too, we can continue chatting there. See you next week, Shekinah! 🙂
You see that cute piggy bank over there? It’s for the PiggyBank Movement, Blogapalooza’s mission to raise funds for the victims of Typhoon Yolanda. I’m happy to say that I was able to help raise that Php 82,000 which Blogapalooza donated through World Vision. Yay!
No ootd photos for that day coz my heels and feet gave up on each other at around 4 PM. Haha Thank God I brought flats! I wouldn’t have survived the rest of the afternoon, much more pose around with Easter (Megaworld’s very cute mascot), with my feet dying from pain. #tiisganda
Finally, to end this post are the freebies/giveaways I got from the participating businesses. I haven’t sorted them out yet but I will try to feature some of them on my next posts. For the meantime, if you want to know the businesses, speakers, and all other information about Blogapalooza, you can check it out here. Congratulations and thank you to the whole Blogapalooza team for giving me the chance to be a part of this community. Hope to see you again next time! 🙂
