Hey, guys! I hope everyone’s doing fine, given the weather we are currently experiencing right now. Summer is officially over and rainy days are definitely here once again. And that could only mean one thing–it’s time to change our wardrobes! Waaa Easier said than done, right? I mean, are you ready to keep those crop tops and cut off shorts away for now? Well, I’m not and I don’t think I will ever come to that point. I love wearing shorts (so much that I might have a separate closet for it one day lols) and this combo (crop top + cut offs) kinda grew on me already. So, what am I gonna do? Gotta bring out those cardigans, jackets, kimonos, whatever kind of cover ups I have to make sure I don’t catch a cold or something. Haha! I own around a dozen of those stuff too so might as well use them all, right? 😉
Well, anyway, contrary to what this post might appear to all of you, I’m not here to talk about this outfit. I think you’ve seen enough of this look already (wore this to USS, in case you don’t remember :P) and there’s nothing really new to it (except for the debut of my 6-year old sneakers on my blog hehe). So, for today’s post, I decided to share something rather personal. Well, not THAT personal but it’s something new to this blog since I don’t usually talk about personal stuff here. I hope I don’t bore you coz today I’m talking about random things about myself. HAHAHA Must be the weather, guys. Made me do a sort of self-reflection lately. :))) So, shall I start? This makes me shy but whatever! Haha Thought I should begin with something relevant to this blog so first topic is…
1.) FASHION. And a little about blogging, too. Hope you’re not yet tired of this topic. lol Anyway, some of you might have noticed this already but for the sake of those who don’t, I’ll say it again. I’m a casual dresser. I love wearing chic, comfortable and laid back outfits coz they let me move around with ease and feel confident about myself. I like loose tops coz they’re breezy and they let me eat without having to worry about how big my tummy would look like after. Lol Funny but true. And of course, I like wearing shorts coz my legs are all that I’ve got. A little harsh but yeah, I think that’s right. haha Some people think they look good enough to be flaunted and I kinda agree with them so that’s it. Waha However, you might not appreciate them a lot in these photos so I suggest you check out my other outfit posts. Hahaha (confident talaga e, noh? lol) Have to admit that fashion blogging has done a great deal of impact on how I discovered my personal style. You see, when I started blogging, I thought it was just about wearing trendy, pretty and sometimes expensive clothes so back then, I used to take inspirations from famous fashion bloggers and from there, I would create my own version. I think I did that for almost a year until one day I came to realize that the world of fashion blogging isn’t like that and actually, there’s more to it than meets the eye–It’s about discovering and expressing who you are. After all, the main purpose of it is to be able to share your style and thoughts about fashion, right? So I think it has to be something really personal.
And when you talk about personal style, favorite clothing brands also come to mind. Got my top 5 most favorite list ready for you–Cotton On, Terranova, H&M, Forever 21 and Topshop. Wore 2 of those brands in this outfit. Any guesses?
2.) HOBBIES. I don’t have a lot of hobbies, actually, coz I rarely get some free time. So apart from blogging, I love going shopping and sleeping. Haha I’m a hardcore sleepyhead. 😛 Also, I seldom watch TV and I don’t like playing games. The only game that I have on my iPhone is Candy Crush coz my mom insisted on it. She plays it, I don’t. lol I love music (preferably R&B), internet, taking pictures and Instagram. You need not worry about leaving me alone as long as I have my phone and fast internet connection. Haha
3.) FOOD. I have a small appetite and would never be seen eating on buffets. I’m quite picky when it comes to food but I’m trying to change that now, little by little. I’m not really a fan of Japanese and Korean cuisines. I’ve always dreamed of going to Italy simply because I love Italian food, just as much as I love spicy dishes. Pasta and pizza make me happy and I sometimes wish I feel the same way about veggies. :/ Coffee and alcohol cause my heart to palpitate so whenever I go to coffee shops, I always order non-coffee based drinks.
4.) PERSONALITY. This is a very broad topic and I’m not sure I’m ready to talk about it extensively, but I’ll share some. My closest friends would already know this–I’m the least adventurous person you’ll ever meet. I despise anything that would give me an adrenaline rush which explains why my bucket list doesn’t include sky diving, white water rafting, bungee jumping, etc. I prefer hanging out by the beach, probably reading a good book, sunbathing, just chilling and relaxing. Sounds boring, huh? What more if I tell you that I’m also not much of a spontaneous person? Haha This one’s not my choice though and I actually hate that I have to be this way but my parents were kinda strict with me when I was growing up so I wasn’t allowed to join “last minute” trips/activities. They need to know about my plans at least 3 days prior to the date, given that I have answered all of their questions, before they would let me go. HAHA -.-
Shorts: People Are People
Sunnies: Forever 21
5.) DREAMS. Last but not the least. This is another topic that’s quite too confidential so I’ll just make this short. I believe that we don’t always need to tell people what our dreams are, we simply have to show them. Actions speak louder than words, don’t they? I already planned everything (like when, where and how) and I must admit that it kinda scares me a little. But you know what they say, if your dreams don’t scare you, they aren’t big enough. So I must be on the right track. Well, I hope so. 🙂 Speaking about dreams, did you know that I’ve always dreamed of becoming a doctor when I was a kid? Lol That’s actually the reason why I took up Medical Technology in college. It was supposed to be a pre-med course but ended up as a career coz I decided not to pursue Medicine anymore. I thought I would regret it, but I’m surprised that I didn’t. I have my interests on a totally different field now, I guess.
But just like everyone else, one of my dreams is to be able to travel. There are just so many beautiful places to see but my top 3 would be NYC, LA and Paris. Soon. Through hard work, faith and perseverance, we’ll all get there. 🙂
