It's my first time to attend the Philippine Fashion Week and I am so lucky and thankful to have my new camera just in time for the event. I never thought (and planned) of watching PhFW but I am beyond grateful that I was given a chance to do so. A big thanks to fashion designers Frederick Policarpio, Chris Jasler and Harley Ruedas for the invites! <3
The first show that I watched was the Menswear collection featuring the designs of Anthony Nocom, Dodjie Batu, Drei Soriano, Edgar Buyan, Frederick Policarpio, Herbert Custodio, Jesson Capuchino, Jinggo Inoncillo, Ronan Opiña, Simon Ariel Vasquez, Ulysses King and Zxander Tan. I must say, this is one fabulous show! Pop of colors, cut outs, monochromatic hues, leather accents, color blocking - definitely something new for menswear! Still not convinced? Scroll down and see it for yourself! :)
My second favorite collection next to Herbert Custodio's. I love the blue and black combination!

So, what do you think? Amazing collections, right? I love how fashion has evolved throughout the years! Everyone seems to be so fashion forward right now. I personally think that trying out different styles every once in a while won't hurt. It's like a breath of fresh air!
And that's exactly what I did when I attended this year's Philippine Fashion Week. I actually came there unprepared (outfit-wise) because I didn't expect that I would be watching any of the shows. So what's a girl got to do? Experiment! Instead of going for last minute shopping (which I can't afford to do due to a tight schedule), I decided to just work on the clothes that I already have in my closet. And did I come up with a decent outfit? You be the judge! ;)
What I wore to Philippine Fashion Week Day 3: Menswear collection
The show started at 7:30 PM so instead of wearing bright colored clothes, I opted for black and blue that I think would count as "evening colors".
I also wore my favorite sequined button down that I wore once before to add that extra "oomph" to my outfit. I love sequins and everything sparkly. For me, sparkly outfits are so fashyon! Haha Don't you think?

I always try to wear my clothes differently. In fact, I did that twice in this outfit. One is the button down blouse that I wore as a cover up (wore it before as a top) and the other one is.. Yes, you guessed it right! The skirt! It's actually a tube top, but I always prefer wearing it this way because it doesn't fit me well up there. Lol
Folded and Hung tube top (worn as skirt) | belt from my sister
My sequined button down already provided the right amout of "spark" that I needed during that night so I decided not to pile up on accessories anymore.
Just Chic ring | bag from my mom
By the way, have you noticed the color of my nails? Color blocking ang peg! Haha

So, how do you like my "unprepared" outfit? Haha I hope you like it as much as I do! :)
